ETHICAL OBLIGATIONS OF PEER REVIEWERS

  • If a Reviewer is unable to review the materials due to lack of expertise or time, he/she is obliged to inform the Editorial Board and destroy or return the received materials.
  • The Reviewer’s report must be objective and well-grounded, and include information regarding the presence or absence of plagiarism in the article.
  • Priority norms for the Reviewer are respect for the Author’s intellectual property rights and the confidentiality of the article, which makes it impossible to disclose or use any information therein before the article is published.
  • The Reviewer is obliged to inform the Editorial Board of any potential conflicts of interest. A Reviewer must not participate in the review if he/she has close personal or professional relationships with the Author(s) or the research organization where the study was conducted, or if he/she works for a competing organization on the same topic. Reviewers are also obliged to inform the Chief Editor of other possible conflicts of interest (political, religious, or financial).
  • The Reviewer is obliged to provide a timely review of the article.
