ARCHIVING AND LONG-TERM PRESERVATION POLICY
ARCHIVING
The editorial board of the journal Linguistic and Conceptual Worldviews is committed to ensuring long-term access to its published research and undertakes all necessary technical measures to guarantee secure backup and open availability of the journal’s content.
Storage Locations
Each issue of the journal is published in both print and electronic formats. The electronic version is made freely available on the journal’s website and is deposited in the institutional repository of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv — eKNUTSHIR.
Electronic copies of all journal issues are also deposited on the “Scientific Periodicals of Ukraine” platform of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Archiving Frequency
The journal's content is archived after each issue is published, ensuring continuous, timely preservation of all scholarly materials.
Licenses and Permissions
All archived content retains its original licensing terms. This ensures that readers and researchers may use the materials under the same conditions that applied at the time of their initial publication.
Policy Review
The journal’s archiving policy is reviewed every two years to ensure compliance with current best practices in scholarly publishing and digital preservation. Any updates or revisions will be announced on the official website of the journal.
Participation in the PKP LOCKSS Private Network
The journal Linguistic and Conceptual Worldviews ensures the long-term preservation of its scholarly content through participation in several trusted digital preservation systems, including PKP Preservation Network (PN), CLOCKSS, and LOCKSS.
CLOCKSS
(CLOCKSS – Controlled LOCKSS) maintains a network of archival nodes distributed across different geographic and political regions to ensure secure and reliable preservation of scholarly content.
CLOCKSS guarantees that, in the event of a trigger event (such as loss of content by the publisher), the preserved materials will remain permanently accessible and usable for future generations of researchers.
LOCKSS
The LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system employs a decentralized and distributed preservation model. Participating libraries worldwide create and maintain local copies of digital content, ensuring redundancy and long-term availability.
PKP Preservation Network (PN)
As part of the Public Knowledge Project, the PKP Preservation Network provides an additional preservation infrastructure specifically designed for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS). PKP PN ensures that journal content managed through OJS is securely preserved and remains accessible for long-term academic and research use.
The journal participates in the CLOCKSS Preservation pilot initiative, launched in response to the challenging circumstances faced by Ukrainian research institutions during the war. Within this initiative, the journal is included in the CLOCKSS preservation system free of charge. The project has been implemented with the support of the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine.
Access to Archived Content
Readers, researchers, and other users may access archived journal content through libraries participating in the LOCKSS network, ensuring that the journal’s scholarly materials remain available for academic, research, and public use even under unforeseen circumstances.
SELF-ARCHIVING POLICY
