Будучи невід'ємною рисою тексту ЗМІ, суб'єктивна модальність виражає оцінку й ставлення автора до змісту, вона передає емоції автора, відображає ідеї та світогляд автора, є засобом взаємодії між автором і читачем. Представлені результати дослідження семантики сумніву як одного з аспектів авторської суб'єктивної модальності і способів її реалізації в текстах сучасних російськомовних мас-медіа, доведено необхідність її подальшого дослідження.
